WeRec Campaign

In late 2023, Colorado State University Campus Recreation launched the WeREC campaign — a powerful initiative focused on creating inclusive, affirming spaces in recreation and fitness through the values of Respect, Empowerment, and Care. As part of the marketing team, I contributed to the social media strategy and content creation that helped bring this campaign to life across digital platforms.

I worked alongside our team of 13 to develop messaging that aligned with WeREC’s mission, creating content that encouraged dialogue, community engagement, and awareness around equity in rec spaces. From writing captions and designing graphics to promoting the launch of the new WeREC space in the Student Recreation Center, I helped ensure that the campaign didn’t just live on campus — it lived online, too as part of my job as Digital Marketing Assistant. This was on the Colorado State University instagram and seen by over 6,000 people and over 100 people interacted with this message.

WeREC continues to be a movement that inspires culture change, and I’m proud to have supported its rollout through intentional and community-centered social media work.

Radical Self Love Campaign

For the past three years, I’ve had the opportunity to lead the social media efforts for Colorado State University Campus Recreation’s annual Radical Self Love Week — a weeklong event each February dedicated to promoting body positivity, self-care, and inclusivity.

Each year, I’ve helped develop and execute a strategic online content plan that highlights everything from themed group fitness classes and wellness activations to interactive events like Glow Climb, screen printing sessions, live DJ workouts, and more. I created engaging graphics with our graphic designers, wrote thoughtful captions, and captured in-the-moment content to amplify the message of self-love across platforms like Instagram and TikTok — ensuring that students not only knew about the events but felt seen and supported by them.

Radical Self Love Week is more than just an event — it’s a celebration of identity, community, and care. I’m proud to have helped build its presence online and grow its impact year after year through creative, intentional social media storytelling.

Get Yourself Tested Campaign

In 2022, as part of CSU’s annual GYT – Get Yourself Tested campaign, we hosted an in-person sexual health education event at the CSU Health Network. Students were invited to learn about STD prevention, ask questions in a supportive space, grab goodie bags, and had the option to get tested onsite — all while normalizing conversations around sexual wellness.

I worked closely with CSU Health Network personnel to support both the event experience and the digital outreach. I took photos during the event for promotional and internal use, helped coordinate and distribute custom swag prizes, and supported the campaign’s visibility through intentional, student-centered content.

One of the biggest wins of the campaign? We were able to offer STD testing for just $20 — a service that typically costs nearly $200 — making it more accessible and affordable for CSU students.

Being part of this initiative was not just about marketing; it was about helping students take control of their health, feel empowered, and know they had a community that supported them.
